AYURVEDIC NUTRITIONAL AND LIFE STYLE CONSULTATIONS AND SERVICES
Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Ayurveda translates to science or knowledge of life.
Within Ayurveda, individuals are classified into different body types, or doshas, based on combinations of different elements earth, air, fire, water, and space elements. Dosha types can be vata, pitta, kapha, vata-pitta, pitta-kapha, vata-kapha or tri-dosha. Ayurveda categorizes foods based on their qualities (Gunas) and their effects on the body (Doshas)
